How I feel and what I want to do during our trip to Paris

I am excited about this trip but a bit sad it's in August, that's SO long to wait although I bet the 3 months will fly by. When we go I will almost be a 7th grader, weird to think about, and when I'm writing this my 12th birthday is in 2 days(Saturday, May 4th, 2024) I feel so old yet so young at the same time. Anyway, I'm excited and can't wait. My brother and mom will also be posting and I will try to every day to keep whoever's reading this updated. This is my first out-of-country trip so I get a passport, and I get to say I've left the country! Now technically the first out-of-country place, or whatever it's called, will be a layover flight to Montréal which for anyone who doesn't know is in Canada so the first country I've been in that's not the U.S. will be Canada, and THEN France but I'm excited to explore Montréal for the little bit of time we're there and then explore Paris. There are SO many things I want to do but we don't have enough time for, for example, we had two options to either go to Versailles or take a train to London, we chose Versailles but I still really want to go to London. My mom said we could go on a later trip whenever that is. The reason we got to go was that our Great Grandma died so when they sold her house we were generously gifted some of the money by our grandparents which allowed us to go on this exciting trip, my aunt and uncle also got some money so they and our cousins (their children, obviously) are using that money to go to Japan because my aunt is from there and has family there which I think is kind of cool (I wish I had relatives in Paris, that would be so cool). But back to OUR trip, I am helping plan it a little bit which again, I think is kind of cool. As an early/late birthday gift me and my brother got a new suitcase for the trip and a little book with details and itineraries about Paris and we'll be doing almost all of them some of the big ones include The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe, and more that I am too lazy to list. Another thing that excites me about this trip is the food, the food looks so good like baguettes and croissants and other French delicacies. Now there are some downsides but very few, like the jetlag, when my mom came back after her first trip she was SO tired one time she mumbled something so weird (although I did forget what it was...) anyways other downsides like the packing and unpacking, along with the money transfer which will just be annoying but still a very exciting trip nonetheless. I'll be giving more updates as we get closer and closer to the trip but until then happy birthday to me and hope you have a great rest of your day!
